Introduction to the Island of Lanzarote





Lanzarote is a Spanish island in the easternmost of the famous Canary Islands. It words lanzarote means “red mountains” in native language. It is of volcanic origin & formed by the breakup of African & American continental plates 35 million years ago.

Mountainous areas of the lanzarote are called timanfaya National Park. This national park is made up of 100’s of fire valconaos located in 200 sq km area.
