Religion and Its Significance

Why are people unhappy and sad?
People are sad as they have forgotten religion,ethics,culture,and are ignorant of human and religious values. People have become westernised and are following western culture in their daily habits,food-intake and attitude and have forgotten principles,God and are more resorted to scientific values.We have forgotten our ancient Gurus, RishiMunis, Yog Gurus and their saintly teachings.
Whatever highest scientific knowledge one may have attained the Ultimate LIFE and Jeevan Vikas is in the hands of LORD ALMIGHTY and one must bow down to him every day to lead a happy, peaceful, safe and complete life.
Gestures in Religion
Making a gesture of Namaste both hands folded,turning your head towards the sky and Thanking the Lord for all the good things he has given you--- as when in mother's womb you Oh Lord protected me,also made the facility of sweetest of sweet nectar - milk etc etc makes a person feel happy and in a state of contentment.
When a man with love exclaims Oh Lord! Oh God!, Oh Allah!, Prabhu! his life-strength increases.Thanking the Lord Thanks-giving to people our life-strength has a boost.
Thanking God for all the beautiful things - rivers,the seas,the plants, the trees,the lovely multi- variety of flowers and fruits - thanking God for all these things etc increases our life-span as well as puts one in a state of happiness.

Our bodily and mental health status is our Jeevan Shakti or so-called Pran Shakti - Life-Strength.

1)Seeing the beautiful lovely creations of God increases Jeevan shakti and strength. Seeing pictures of God's Goddesses also gives strength to a person.
Thus tensions,stress gets relieved when one reads holy books,scriptures and follows religion.
2)Jealousy,Greed,hatred,fear, doubt, etc these emotions have a negative impact on our progress and Development.
Hence create love,faith,Trust, etc these have a positive impact and a man's progress is doubled.
Smiling and having a pleasant and good feelings for fellow-citizens enhances development.
Thanking God and anyone offering and giving help is a positive emotion and increases Jeevan shakti.
Its been observed that Lyricists and Musicians and Singers have a long - life reason being that Music and association with Music increases life-span of a person.
Reverse being listening to Rock-music and discos decreases life strength.
4)The impression of symbols has a lot of effect on the brain and mind of a person. These symbols after-effect the life of an individual. The symbol or Logo gives a good or bad impression. For eg. Seeing a OM symbol boosts the life energy of a person. Chanting OM 50 times at a stretch relieves a person of mental stress and depression and gives a new feeling in the heart.
5)Relations and Society
Listening to kind,loving words our heart and soul zooms in a pleasant state of happiness. Having greed,jealousy,hatred etc for another individual in a society, relatives decreases your life - strength. Instead Prem love,harmony,kindness and respect for one- another among relatives,friends increases your life strength and hence life span.
Creating a friendly atmosphere,loving atmosphere increases one's life span.Visiting temple daily, forgivenness and confession of one's misdeeds in the temple increases life strength Jeevan Shakti.
Reading holy scriptures daily also frees one from greed and jealousy and hence creates harmonical environment.
Mother Earth -Dharti Mata -- sahen karti hai, har ek jan uspe pair rakhke chalte hai, people dig dig it and torture her.When we get up early morning touching our hands and praying to Dharti Mata for stamping on her increases our life - span.

7)Eating Sattvik Ahaar means fresh foods increases the life strength and span of a person. Eating vegetarian foods, freshly cooked foods, containing lesser amounts of salt, chillies, frozen foods etc is advantageous.
8)Body Status
Sleeping in the right posture, walking with proper steps, sitting with straight body upright etc increases life span.
For eg. Hitler when used to attack any country he first used to inquire about people how they used to walk in a particular area and then used to make attempts to attack a country.
Swimming in the water increases Jeevan shakti, wearing rudraksha,tulsimala also enhances life-strength of a person.
Each and every individual must resort to reading holy granthas scriptures as Dnyneshwari, Ramayana, Bhakti Vijay, Sant Tukaram abhangas etc etc and hence see that a friendly, harmonical atmosphere is created in the place where he stays and hence spread love, peace and happiness and sacrifice greed and jealousy.
Becoming Religious not only gives peace of mind and good night's sleep but also increases life-span and strength of a person.
Make it a habit to visit the temple daily.
