Brochures and Your Pizza Restaurant

The Superior and Excellent Pizza Emporium was put together by several guys who decided to become really good at both product and delivery. Their hopes were that they might eventually turn one little shop into a chain and the chain into a national organization.

Their biggest concern was always their image. They wanted to convey an image of being high quality and concerned about their reputation. They wanted to maintain high standards, and they felt that doing the little things right would set in place a practice that would lead to success.

Still, they knew that they had a lot to learn. They wanted to move to the next step and they wanted some professional advice on what that next step should be. Most people are scared of taking risks but sometimes it is important to step out of your comfort zone and take a chance and that is what they decided to do.

They decided to call on someone they knew who might be in a position to advise them: a salesman at a full service printing company and who had helped them do some flyers when they originally opened their doors. They ran into him by chance, and they invited him over to see their new location.

He listened carefully to their ideas and came to the conclusion that the best way for them to move forward would be to develop a great brochure, one that would outline their business philosophy as well as give the details of their available products

He asked them to sit down and outline their philosophy of doing business and to give examples and details of the kind of things they had done to make themselves a cut above. He took down all of the relevant information and took a couple of days to work up a sample. When he brought it back, they were impressed. He turned some of their most important ideas into performance promises, i.e. their guarantees of performance in terms of quality and service.

That idea of a performance guarantee hit exactly the right note. They wanted their business to be looked at the same way a contractor or professional would be looked at: someone who guaranteed their work and stood behind it.

Satisfied with the initial effort, they ordered ten thousand brochures, one for each order that the estimated would be going out the door over the next six months.

Advertising and Marketing Tips for Nail Salons
Nail salons are like hair salons in the sense that they are as much social gathering places as they are places of business. Anything that can be done in a nail salon can be done at home, but some people feel the need to congregate in a familiar place, surrounded by familiar people, so that they can discuss familiar things. In that sense a nail salon is something like a neighborhood restaurant, minus the food and alcohol. Or at least the alcohol. That's looking at it from the customer's point...

Tips on What Information You Should Include in Your Brochures
Let's start by stating the obvious: you are printing brochures because you want to sell a product or a service, and you want to provide enough information to sell someone on the idea of contacting you. But what's the best hook? Just as a novel has a hook to pull the reader into the story, a brochure has to have a hook as well. One of the best ways to hook someone with your brochure is to address an immediate need. Here's an example using a specific industry. Let's say that you are in the...

Using Flyers and Brochures in Real Estate Marketing Campaigns
If you are a real estate professional, you are always fighting an information battle: Someone in your area is looking to buy a house, but you don't know about who that is and that person doesn't know you. Someone in your area is looking to sell a house, but you don't know about who that is and that person doesn't know you. The daunting task you face is to get those people to think of you first and to contact you whenever they want to buy and sell. Your enemies are: Time is always passing...

Marketing Tips for Freelancers
As a freelancer, you are on your own. If you are not marketing yourself, you are not in business, or you won't be for very long. One thing that must be said about freelancers is that they are confident enough to be risk-takers. However, the goal has to be - ultimately, at least - spending less and less time marketing and more and more time doing work that you get paid for. You have to think of marketing as the work that gets you the work, but don't forget that marketing is always a cost:...

Effective Ways Of Brochure Marketing
The brochure is perhaps the most versatile of all the standard printed marketing material formats. The reasons are clear: First, a brochure can take a number of design configurations. In contrast, posters, post cards, and catalogs basically conform to one configuration; Secondly, a brochure can be distributed in a number of very diverse ways. We'll discuss this variety here: Distribution through the mail. Perhaps the most common method of distribution is through the mail. That explains...

Brochure Marketing And Advertising For Small Businesses
Small businesses don't use brochures as an advertising medium nearly as much as they ought to. And that's too bad, because almost any small business could find a way to benefit from their usage. There is no set way for marketers to use brochures. Here are some approaches, some or all of which could work for you: Explaining your business model. Let's say you are running a multi-level operation. You are part of a national company which is selling housewares. A big part of what you do is...

How to Use QR Codes Effectively
The difference between a useful marketing device and a gimmick is that gimmicks just grab people's attention. Good marketing tools, on the other hand, bring in the business and keep it coming in. The QR code is a tool which seems to have appeared quite recently and is everywhere at once. You see them on the sides of buses, on magazine pages, on television screens, on billboards, and as avatars on Facebook. The way they are meant to be used is as follows: A viewer uses the photo function on...

Your Offline Marketing Can Drive Customers Online with QR Codes
QR codes - quick response codes - can be looked at as the latest thing or they can be looked at as a useful tool which will be around for a while. Let us take a look at how QR codes can be used effectively. The test always come down to usefulness - do they work? Do they perform a function which was not possible in the past, and do they aid in bringing in business? Testing can be essential to determine effectiveness in a marketing campaign. Never overlook the usefulness of understanding your...

Make Sure Your Brochures Have a Clear and Concise Message
Making sure your brochure has a clear and concise message is certainly a good idea. Nothing wrong with that. But wait. Let's back up here for a minute. How do you even know that anyone will want to open your brochure and read it? The point is that the cover has to grab the reader and make her want to see what it's all about. To that end, the front panel design is everything. And so the front panel has to be more than just 'clear and concise' - it has to be compelling. Take your front...

Amaze Your Audience With Colorful Postcards
Color goes with post cards very naturally. This fact is what spawned the tremendous growth of postcards by the tourism industry, not just in the United States but worldwide. When people used to go to an exotic locale or a beach, they would find post cards in the gift shops which showed beautiful beaches, ancient parks and churches and the treasure of national museums. These cards were sent from all over the world to places back home and those who had not been to these places would be tempted...
