3 Reasons Residential Wind Power Is Better Than Solar

Residential wind turbines are the best form of renewable energy at the moment.

We all know that we have to do something about the power in our world and its availability over the next 20 years. We don't have a lot of time to get this right and there doesn't seem to be a competing fuel that will trump fossil fuels anytime soon. Therefore, we're going to have to get our act together and try something different. Wind and solar are both good solutions but wind wins out because of its flexibility and universal applicability.

There are certainly competing products, like solar collectors, but residential wind systems trump them for several reasons... Residential wind turbines are better than solar power because they are easier to work on - One great thing about domestic wind turbines is the fact that the average guy can work on them. They're very simple and straightforward devices that almost anyone can understand. Unlike solar power which requires some understanding of the way light is converted into electricity, wind turbine devices make a lot of sense because you can actually see them move and generate power.

Residential wind turbines are better than solar because they are easier to understand by the average guy - The science behind wind is just a lot more straightforward than the science behind solar power. Therefore, a child can understand how wind is converted into energy because the science is very similar to that of propulsion that one sees every day with airplanes and boats. The turning blades are very similar in all of the circumstances so it is very easy for one to grasp the fact that you would be able to turn a wind turbine propeller and also make energy.

Residential wind systems are better than solar because there are more places that have wind than have enough sun to sustain a solar energy project - Another great thing about wind energy systems is the fact that they are easy to install in difficult places. Whereas with solar, you have to have just the right orientation and exposure to the sun to make them work. Residential wind turbines have a big advantage here in that it can be placed in a very small area and sometimes even the dynamics of that placement can enhance the amount of energy that you can get out of a particular location. For example, when you locate your wind turbine on your chimney, that might be the ideal place to extract the most energy on your roof.

In summary, residential wind turbine systems are the best way for a homeowner to get sustainable energy onboard at their houses these days.

Wind Power Turbines
If you are going to get into the renewable energy business at your home, there is no easier way than through wind power turbines. There are a number of reasons why it is best to start off with wind power and then migrate to other forms of renewable power as you acclimate to a more off-grid lifestyle. The sooner we all realize that this is inevitable, the better. Although we would like to imagine that there exists in the world out there somewhere a better energy mousetrap they can keep us...

Residential Wind Generators Could They Be Better Than Solar
? The question has always been - are residential wind turbines better than their solar counterparts? These are two powerful alternatives that you can consider for supplying electricity at your home, but is there a clear advantage of one over the other? And, do you need to make a choice or can you use both? With the situation in the Middle East right now there's really no alternative other than to consider residential wind turbines for our daily production of electricity. As supplies shrink...

Residential Wind Power Is It For Everyone
? Residential wind energy is becoming a very strong option for homeowners around the country now. The rise in fuel costs due to lack of previously boundless supplies of fuels has led to the popularity of renewable energy devices. There are a number of residential renewable options available though. None are more powerful and less expensive than residential wind energy however. Wind turbines of today can be bought in kit form and are relatively cheap. Other sources of renewable energy though...

Wind Turbines For Homes Are They Better Than Solar
? Wind turbines for homes are better than solar power and here is why that is the case... Cheaper - Wind turbines are just cheaper than solar collectors. It is more a factor of simplicity of the device than anything else. You can get a wind turbine ready to set up and start making power for under $500. Also, you won't have to have the services of a professional installer like you do with a solar collector. While it is not impossible to do a solar collector by yourself, it is just a lot more...

Solar Wind Turbine Why Use Both
? In the world of renewable energy resources, it is becoming very popular to set up or buy asolar wind turbine, versus either technology separately. There are strong reasons why these technologies operate very well in concert that need to be considered if you are looking at either of the renewable energy options separately. For years these two technologies have competed for the public's buying dollar. The competitive forces that drive commercial enterprises tried to make you choose one or the...

Residential Wind Turbines 1 Reason Cut In Speed Is Critical
Residential wind turbines are the wave of the future as far as renewable energy is concerned. Even though there are other types of renewable energy devices, like solar collectors and geothermal energy products, the home wind turbine is the easiest to set up and the most intuitively attractive for the average homeowner. The trend with residential wind turbines is for them to make power and increasingly lower speed wind conditions. The cut-in speed is the wind velocity at which the device will...

Solar Wind Power Devices 2 Key Advantages
Solar wind power is becoming a more powerful market segment than either of these renewable options when considered alone. The drastic decrease in supply of fossil fuels along with the price increase, has caused a huge surge in interest in renewable devices of all types and a great improvement in the technology that underpins them. Wind turbines alone can be a powerful asset in your quest to reduce your home energy costs. Also, solar collectors can be a huge asset for you as well....

Solar And Wind Power How Can They Be Used Together
? Although there are other types of renewable energy, solar and wind power dominate this topic. Both of these forms of energy are really solar in the sense that they start with radiant heat. Most of the energy available on our planet in fact comes from the sun. There are advantages to both forms of energy and there is no reason they cannot be used together. Many manufacturers of these products would like you to think you need to make a choice between solar and wind power, but nothing could...

Residential Wind Turbine 3 Ways It Is Preparing Us For The Future
The residential wind turbine is preparing the way for us to more easily transition from a fossil fuel based economy to one based on renewable energy made at home. These are the 3 ways the residential wind turbine is redefining the way we will make energy for years to come... Residential wind power is an easy way to start making energy at home - You can purchase a wind turbine kit and begin making energy almost immediately at your house. These kits come in subcomponent form and are easy to...

3 Residential Wind Turbine Advantages
There are a number of residential wind turbine advantages you need to know about. This is not to say that the other forms of renewable energy don't have their advantages as well. Solar for example, is a very passive form of energy that does not have any moving parts. This is unlike the wind turbine which is for writing moving parts and where surfaces that are constantly exposed to the elements and therefore were out. However solar energy can be very sensitive to the exact angle at which...
