Real-time analysis of mass data

The objective of the joint project with Terracotta was to find a way of distributing large volumes of data, which frequently change, to various systems in real time. The Terracotta In-Memory Data Management solution took over the tasks of the previous database and provided an in-memory data layer (Terracotta Server Array) between the back end and the front end. One of these was the RDE server, which was now able to read out, in real time, information that had been changed somewhere else in the Terracotta server array. The customer did not have to distribute the data. The RDE thus always uses up to date data, for example, master data (prices, availabilities etc.) for the recommendation calculation. All the scattered systems connected to the Terracotta Server Array can exchange information in real time.
