Carpooling to Work

Thousands more people every month are making the decision to start carpooling with fellow employees to work, especially when they commute to work. Typically people who commute thirty minutes or longer each way should try to make sure that they carpool to work. The environment is becoming more fragile each and everyday and without people doing the right thing, which is protecting it then soon there will terrible consequences. If you value the world and everyone you care about then you should care about the air we all breathe in on a daily basis. If you can help the environment become a safer place by carpooling to work then donít you think you could make the adjustment to driving with a co-worker to work?

There are now lots of carpool parking lots where you can take your vehicle to and park it for the day while at work and then after work you get dropped off at it and continue home. If enough people started doing this then soon the environment would start becoming a more pleasant place to live. It takes more then a handful of people from different regions to make a difference and everyone needs to unite as one on this situation and try doing something about it.

The government has now begun opening up lanes of most major highways for commuters travelling with more then one passenger in the vehicle. This means if you carpool to work you can use the commuter lane which is basically an express lane that will help you beat rush hour traffic. The time it takes to stop at a carpool parking lot youíll now start saving by being able to drive in a much less congested lane of the highway. A lot of people only began carpooling because they would then be able to avoid rush hour traffic, and if this is what it takes for people to start helping the environment then so be it. As long as the governments continue adding carpooler lanes onto major highways I feel more and more people will start adapting to carpooling.

Another reason it seems carpooling is becoming more popular is due to the increase in gas prices that everyone is dealing with. A lot of people canít afford the gas prices that are currently present in most countries and with this a lot of people are forced to carpool. Now although high gas prices arenít meant to help the environment through more people carpooling, it would as though indirectly itís been done.

There are lots of reasons why you should be carpooling to work with fellow co-workers and many of them involve you saving time and money so there is really no reason why more people donít start carpooling. If you save money and time then there isnít much else that can be offered to entice you to saving the environment, so if this doesnít do it what will be needed? I hope people can begin to start coming to their senses and start working towards cleaning the environment up.

is a great way to get from one place to another. However, many people don't like to carpool because as human beings, we tend towards not wanting to share with other people a lot of the time. And while carpooling may cut down on the overall cost that someone may expend on maintaining a vehicle (because they are putting less wear and tear on their car), it is at best an inconvenience still. There are some great benefits to using a carpool. For starters, carpooling is fantastic for the...

Carpooling Like it or Not
Carpooling is something that we have all experienced at some point in our lives- even if we don't remember it. If you have ever gotten into a vehicle that was being driven by another person, then you have carpooled. There are many of us who do not really like carpooling, however. Rather, we would prefer to have our own mode of transportation in which we are in control of the vehicle and where it is going. For others, however, carpooling is a great idea. For example, my boyfriend hates to...

Saving Money by Carpooling
There are some who swear by carpooling, claiming that it has saved them hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars in just a years time all because they don't have to expend the cost of fueling up their own car, making a car payment or paying for car insurance. But is carpooling really as effective as many people make it out to be? In some areas of North Carolina, for instance, because it is so spread out, the nearest bus stop may not be for miles. Additionally, due to the geographic location...

Inclement Weather Driving
People are naturally bad drivers. However, it takes skill and a little time required to perfect that skill that we, today, refer to as ďdrivingĒ. Whether you are driving from your apartment to the grocery store up the street or whether you are preparing for an extremely long trip up to someplace like Main, it seems that driving on the roadways has become increasingly dangerous, especially since the invention of the cell phone. Recently, Iíve been testing out this new theory of mine. It...

When Gas Prices Rise Again
During the summer of 2008, we saw what many of never thought that we would- a surge in gas prices that brought the national average to over $4 per gallon. What did this mean for those of us who owned SUVs or who filled up with premium unleaded versus regular unleaded? It meant that each time we had to fill up our vehicles from empty, it was costing us upwards of $75 each time! Gas Prices to Soar Again
With the summer rapidly approaching, many are looking towards the gas pumps instead of towards their beach vacations. Just last week, gas prices were around $1.99. Then, two days ago, the prices had already risen to $2.26. It leaves many of us wondering whether or not the prices will continue to go up or whether they will remain constant before dropping again. My guess is that with the summer only a little over a month away, we will most definitely see the prices rise. The question on...

Driving Yourself Crazy For No Reason
Road rage is one of the most, if not the most, dangerous things that causes accidents today. However, since the gas prices have gone up, have you noticed any changes in how Americans drive? In recent studies, it has been revealed that road rage is on the decline. Why is this? Simple. Because of the high cost of gas, more people have opted out of driving their personal vehicles. This has led to a massive amount of people leaving their cars parked in the driveway or garage and instead...
