So whatever your preferences, you are sure to find somewhere that is right for you.
Weymouth for many decades now has been a very popular seaside resort and this started after King George III came to visit. He would come to Weymouth in order to bathe in the sea, as he believed that it could help cure his nervous disorder that he suffered from. In fact between 1789 and 1805, the King and various members of the Royal family came to Weymouth on holiday a total of 14 times.
But as well as the beach and the sea Weymouth has plenty more to offer to those who chose to vacation here. For those who are a little more adventurous and would like to try something a little different there are plenty of different kinds of water sports that they may want to try. In fact, Weymouth and close by Portland Harbour have become favourites with windsurfers and dinghy sailors because of the great wind conditions that occur off their coastlines.
However, if you would like to try you hand at something a little more sedate and relaxing the area is renowned for being ideal for fishing. Along with just fishing off the pier, you can book yourself a trip on one of the many boats that will take you further out to sea and try your hand at some deep sea fishing instead.
As for the kids, there are plenty of attractions and activities that they can do whilst staying in Weymouth. One of the most popular attractions that many visitors will make time to go to is the Sea Life Park. Here they will be able to see a variety of underwater creatures from around the world plus there is the Deep Sea Adventure and Sharky's play areas for them to enjoy as well. Then whilst the kids are enjoying themselves there, the mums and dads can take a walk around the Titanic exhibition, which you will find, on the upper floors of this attraction.
However as well as all the attractions and activities one can do and see during one of many Weymouth vacations, there are plenty of places where you can try some really great food. Plus throughout the year, there are plenty of events taking place that is probably one of the reasons why so many people choose to come back to this town time and time again.
