Then with the advent of the internet, as the platform became mainstream email became the go to tool for communication by which companies interacted with prospective customers about their new product and services arrivals. All this was possible because of the rise in number of the internet users. This probably was the first such instances where the digital marketing was at play. Nowadays this is known as Email marketing.
