This means that your entire business is going to run better because you will have many chances to listen to what your employees are telling you might be wrong and you have the chance that you need to fix anything that might need fixing. This can help you avoid many unfortunate situations in the workplace.
Another reason that open door policies are important is that you don't want to lose good employees over a disagreement. Often, if an employee feels that they cannot talk to you about small issues or big issues, they will leave a job or a position without doing anything about it. This could lead to you losing employees that you like and trust, simply because they don't want to bring up issues and would rather find another place to work. You don't want to have to worry about this type of issue, so the best thing that you can do is have an open door policy which will help to make sure that your employees feel comfortable talking to you about what their issues might be.
The best way to make sure that issues don't become major problems, while at the same time making sure you keep good employees, to have an open door policy with them at all times. This will make sure that your employees feel comfortable and that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
