After my daughter started playing, the girl was initially given 1st base. I had been an infielder, so I reckoned this was great. So now my softball playing daughter and I had to look at 1st base mitts. First base gloves are in fact not the same as other infield gloves. First basemen's gloves are in fact comparable to softball catcher mitts. 1st base gloves are longer certainly, they likewise will not have individual fingertips. First base mitts come in either right and left, my child is a lefty.
And so, we were looking for a left handed youth softball glove. My initial interest was looking at a 1st base softball mitt from Nokona. I often utilized a Nokona glove when I played baseball. The Nokona glove that I owned was an infielders glove, and so I wanted to see alternative models too. I know the recognized mitts of the MLB are Rawlings gloves. It does not automatically make the Rawlings gloves better than the Nokona glove, nevertheless it means they are worth a look. Rawlings produces 1st base softball gloves too, so at least they show variety. I learned that first base softball mitts weren't any different when compared with first basemens gloves for baseball.
The selection of Rawlings gloves was tremendous. In the Rawlings web site there are 499 selections for Rawlings softtball or baseball gloves. Happily you could thin the Rawlings gloves options down by how you throw and youth and infield softball gloves. This helped a great deal. Soon I was able to pick out the two or three Rawlings gloves that I believed are going to work for my my player. I kept returning to the Nokona glove connected with my childhood. I decided to look at the selections Nokona had to present as well. They sell plenty of first base mitts to choose from. I uncovered the most perfect 1st basemens glove. Now I had to choose.
In the end, I determined to get the Nokona glove and one of the Rawlings gloves. My superstar first base softball player alternates between them depending if it's cloudy or sunny. She's having a fun time playing beginner softball, and my wife is pleased that the girl has not gotten injured. Now I am looking forward to my daughter becoming older so she can play school fastpitch. I definitely anticipate getting her another softball mitt. Also can't wait to search for some youth baseball gloves for our youngest son (just 6) as well as softball mitts through the rest of their early years.
