6 Tips on How to Choose the Right Beds

Did you know that you spend a total of approximately 9,000 days in your bed in your lifetime? And that does not account for the naps and if you live beyond 75 years old. So itâs only fitting that you have the right bed. How do you choose the right bed? These six tips on how to choose the right bed can help.
Choose a bed together. If youâre a couple, itâs best that you choose a bed together. Remember that both of you should be comfy. If only one of you is comfy, itâs hard to co-exist on the same bed. When you factor that youâll be both tired from work when you hit the sack, which can make for a lot of sleepless nights.
Give yourself extra space. Hereâs a nifty trick. If your partner likes to hog the bed, and if you have a reasonably-sized room, get a bigger bed than you need. That way you get more space even if your partner gets so much space.
Donât underestimate the linen. Coffee lovers know that even if itâs the best coffee in the world, if you drink it with the worst sweetener or dairy, itâs not going to work. Make sure that your linen and comforters go well with your bed. They should keep you warm and snug. Should not be too light or heavy, and definitely be soft. Thread-wise, aim for a high thread count but do consider comfort first. Laura Ashley, for instance, provides high quality linen which are not only comfortable but affordable. This applies to linen for adult beds and kids.
Be kind to your back. You spend hours on a bed on the most relaxed and vulnerable portion of your life. If you have a back problem, you need good support. A bed with slats and springs brings good back support. Memory foam? You may want to ask for doctor if itâs going to be effective. If you donât have back problems, prevention wonât hurt so be sure to choose a bed which will give your back the support and love it deserves.
Consider storage. If you have a small room, a good storage bed can do wonders. Some beds have hidden storage spaces underneath or on the sides. Storage beds are both practical and convenient. You have large sheets? Keep them inside your storage bed. Have lots of clothes? No problem. The added weight underneath the bed because of the things you stored makes the bed sturdy as well.
Try the bed out and try other stores. If you really want to be sure about the bed you are going to buy, the best way to do it is try it out. Store staff permit customers to lie down for a few minutes on their merchandise. Just donât be too frisky or jump up and own. If youâre comfortable in a bed in a store, it does say a lot about the quality of a bed. Also, donât hesitate to go from store to store to find the right ones. Remember, itâs not just comfort, itâs the cost as well.
