In the Impulser Series being offered by Steinel, the Motion Sensor Light behaves like a Receiver which is actuated via a Remote Control or another Motion Sensor communicating with each other over a 868.3 MHz frequency. There are infinite possibilities of interconnecting multiple peripheral devices such as motion sensors, motion sensor lights etc.,
So for example an occupant is moving from an Indoor Space to his Garden or Balcony outside. The Transmitter which is a Motion Sensor placed inside communicates to the Sensor Lights outside about the possibility of an occupant reaching that area. Conversely, if there is an intruder trying to gain illegal access, the outdoor Devices communicate to the indoor devices and trigger an alarm. The permutation and combinations are infinite and are only limited by the creativity of the user.
These Motion Sensors (transmitters) are battery operated like the IS-FS –300 or the IR Quattro which makes it even more convenient to use. One can also use a hand held remote control for activating the receivers eg. Motion Sensor Light - of course this is done manually.
Suitability for Residential, Commercial and Public Spaces

So lets take the example of the RS Pro series of Motion Sensor Lights. Lets take the Master & Slave configuration which enables enhancement of the detection range at a fraction of the costs. The communication between 2 devices takes place over a Radio Frequency using wireless modules that can be placed within these Light Fixtures.
The IP ratings are robust and high enough for them to be used indoors with features such as battery backed LED module for emergency lighting, an emergency power shunt to switch the power supply from one circuit to another in situations of a power outage, vandal proofed protective guards and so on. Tube Lights e.g. T5, CFLs and PLs – are all available with Steinel to suit every Commercial Application.
