MLM professionals are usually always open to looking at a new deal just so they can keep their finger on the pulse of what else is in the market, but a true game changer can distract even the leaders. Is TVI Express a potential "Game Changer"? Many would say it is. I was contacted a few weeks ago by a new rep for TVI Express called Greg, who was interested in learning internet lead generation. I wanted to understand what the sizzle was in the deal so I asked him to tell me about the company and how it was going for him. I had to ask him to repeat what he said next, since I was sure I did not hear him correctly! His personal success in the last few months was amazing. Even after spending over 22 years in MLM, and having earned some pretty big paydays myself, I was pretty amazed at what he had done in such as short time. After hearing that, I had to take a closer look and here is what I found. The company started in early 2009 as a travel club and the first market they opened was Asia. Now its pretty easy to see that, travel is a sexy product, people love the idea of being on vacation and you combine that with making money and you have a home run. My review found some interesting things about the TVI business. Product The TVI product is pretty easy to understand, its a travel voucher good for a free resort hotel stay for a week for 2 people. The base price on this from the company is $250 US and this is in fact what you get when you sign up to be a distributor for you $250 membership. (it may actually cost you $275 or $300 but more on that in the full review) There are some other nice add on's such as discounts on other types of travel like ship cruises or car rentals. No Autoship One of the attractive things to many people is that once you have paid your signup fee there are no required monthly purchases to stay active. No monthly activity requirement makes TVI very attractive in the eyes of a prospect, but will it cause them problems later? Company They are currently open in 150 countries world wide. Their original home office was in the UK and according to their website they are backed by a prestigious UK financial group. Ground Floor can't get much more early stage than that, but boy have they grown! They claim to have over 200,000 distributors, and that was before reaching the US market, which of course is the largest MLM market in the world. Compensation They have a very aggressive matrix compensation plan. In most MLM's, they pay you a small amount of residual on all downline activity every week or month. TVI's plan does not pay you on group or personal volume as do most MLM's. The money that would go to pay all those small commissions is held and then paid out when you hit a threshold point. These threshold points give a rep something exciting to work towards, one payout is $500 the next is $10,000. Here is what happens. The Traveler Board is the lower matrix you have to go through first and then the Express Board is the upper matrix you go through next. They each have 4 levels and the idea is to move from the bottom level which has 8 positions up to the next level of 4 and so on until after 3 moves you should be at the top position. Once you get to the top of the first matrix, the Traveler Board, you get paid a bonus of $500 and then move to the Express Board. The procedure is then repeated in the upper matrix until a distributor graduates from the top position receiving a $10,000 commission and $5000 in travel benefits. After collecting your Express Board bonus your position is cycled back to the lower level of the $10,000 board and you repeat the process. Larger bonuses can be collected by distributors who have more than one position since they can collect a commission on each position. These threshold payments are great but if you are like me, you recognize the value of residual income. TVI also pays a residual once you have become a leader, of anywhere from 5% to10% of group volume. Just as in a traditional MLM you will find different groups tend to teach different approaches to do the business. Keep in mind you will improve you odds by teaming with a very active group that teaches multiple positions. There is more detail on compensation in my full review Commentary This is a very interesting variation of the Travel MLM The main draw is obviously the income potential and it seems that an average rep can get to the higher incomes much faster than in a traditional MLM. I have talked to many leaders in MLM and asked them their opinion about TVI, and responses range all over the board. In the end the choice is yours. TVI Express has an actual product that has value and they pay their commissions. Judging from past performance I think we will see some pretty fast growth moving forward One word of warning here is that many times Matrix comp plans are pitched by telling the prospect that they only have to sponsor 1 or 2 people and and then the spillover from upline will take care of all the rest. Doing business that way is probably not going to get you where you want to go. Yes, if you bring in 2 new reps you will be qualified but I never recommend leaving your success to chance or the good intentions of others. Notice the word "Marketing" in network marketing, to be successful with any Network Marketing company, you need to learn how to set up a marketing system so you can add to your team each month.. Its no different with TVI. For more information on the company and comp plan see my full review.
