It is undoubtedly true that fruits are a very good source of vitamins and minerals, needed to help prevent common illnesses. With the right amount of daily fruit serving, you are sure to achieve good health.

Knowing just the basic facts about fruits would be sufficient to give you an idea on how you can have a fresh start to achieve a healthy lifestyle. All fruits possess wonderful benefits for everyone’s wellbeing. However, it is more advisable to have organic fruit instead, because they contain a minimum amount or no chemicals or pesticides at all.

To give you more of the fruit nutrition facts of the most popular fruits, below are some of the health benefits you can get from eating those kinds of fruit.

• Oranges

Oranges are excellent source of vitamin C. This helps us fight diseases and infections. They also contain phytochemicals that save us from having serious heart disease. Aside from these two, oranges also contain the following:

Vitamin A Vitamin B
Calcium Iron
Phosporus Potassium
Protein Carbohydrates

Eating oranges can also alleviate joint pains and lower blood pressure due the amounts of potassium it contains.

• Apples

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. True enough, because of the many health benefits it can give you. It is a good sources of fiber and also contains Vitamin C.

Apples also have phyochemicals and compounds that function as antioxidants. Consuming fruits which contains a good source of antioxidant can in some cases help to prevent certain types of cancer. Aside from that, apples also have Vitamins A and B, protein, iron, potassium, and carbohydrate.

• Bananas

Bananas are one of the best options for those who have heart disease because they are very rich in potassium. Aside from heart disease, bananas also have the ability to help anyone suffering from ulcers, diarrhea, autism, hemorrhoids, and even Parkinson’s disease.

You can also improve the process of your metabolism because bananas are rich in Vitamin B6. Aside from that, they also contain Vitamins A and B, niacin, iron, calcium, phosphorus, and protein.

• Strawberries

Strawberries are a good source of antioxidants and they remove all the toxins from the body. They are also high in Vitamin C, Vitamin K and manganese, as well as many other vitamins and minerals. They taste great too.

Aside from that general cleansing, they can also improve the health of the skin and could even strengthen teeth and gums. Moreover, they also help you feel more comfortable from the inside as they relieve constipation and rheumatism.

The bottom line is that fruits are all healthy to eat and are great for snacks! Rather eat fruit as a snack than pickup a packet of salty potato chips or chocolate, you will feel better for it.
