Itâ€™s important to understand that this is a contagious skin issue. It can form around the nose first, and then runs across the face, neck, and body. It can form into a colorful scab and can even contain fluid. It is often marked with a scar tissue and something that is definitely visible. While these are not painful in the traditional sense, itching them can open them up and cause serious issue. The Treatment Options
For those that believe that they have this issue, treatment can be given through a variety of options. The main treatment is that of topical ointment. This can be applied directly on the sores and skin and should help things settle in a matter of days. For those that are dealing with severe cases, doctors can prescribe antibiotics that are strong and can change things up faster. Those that are allergic to things like penicillin could get a different drug, but it will most likely be topical in nature. Very few people die or even have complications with this skin irritation, and it should not be cause for too much alarm. However, it is contagious, so itâ€™s imperative that people be careful when dealing with this issue.
