Now it’s time to make a site around your great new keyword/s… We have talked about the different types of sites you can build and we will go into more details in the step by step plan of exactly how to create your site. In this article on building sites I just wanted to clarify a few things. You will hear people talking alot about the building of multiple sites on multiple domains. You might start to think how much are all these domains going to cost? How much is it going to cost to host all these sites? Don’t worry there is an easy answer. You can buy .info domains from anywhere (I use registerfly.com) for $2.99 each and you use reseller hosting accounts where you can host 1000’s of sites for a flat fee every month ($10 upward). I won’t get into those things here but go and look up those 2 things if you need more information. Also, it has been proven that ‘old’ domains get listed and rank better in the search engines than a new domain that you might register. An old domain is one that has been used in the past and is now expired. There are sites like bizmint.com that have huge databases of expired domains so what I do is search through those to find one that is still listed in Google and has had history on the net and use that for my site. You register it like a normal domain. These domains are much preferred by the search engines and will perform far better than an average domain. NOTE: For automated sites, if you are on a shoe string budget you should use .info domains, but if you can afford it go with .coms and .orgs as they are more trustworthy in peoples minds and will get more visitors. For content sites always .coms or .orgs. Last thing to mention briefly is that whichever type of site you make you are going to want it to be optimized simply for your keywords. This just means things like keyword in the title tag and appearing as significant on your page. These things are more important if you are making a content site rather than an automated one and you might consider going deeper by adding it to your h1 tags and alt tags but personally I don’t get too into that kind of stuff. You are more than welcome to find out from an seo guru more on this if you wish. The most important thing to do is track your results. You might get better results from doing more on page seo in some niches (I very rarely have but I don’t test enough), so do what works best for you and look for ways to improve what you are doing.
